► Pyrolysis kinetics of cabbage palm analyzed via nonisothermal TGA heated at 25, 50, 100 °C min−1. ► Material decomposed over three temperature ranges, each with distinct activation energies. ► Lower activation energy at high heating rate for leaf, stalk, and trunk palm material. ► Particle size was not correlated with activation energy.
