Abstract
⺠Goal is to understand the slurry packing process of high efficiency polymeric phases. ⺠Development of tests to predict column efficiency using sulfonated resin as a model. ⺠Investigation of colloidal and non-Newtonian behaviour during packing. ⺠Counter-ion charge and ionic strength of the slurry can affect column efficiency. ⺠Control of a shear thickening and temperature manipulation of a slurry is helpful.
