Abstract
- The cardiac glycoside and phenolic profile of sea squill extracts was characterised.
- Bufadienolides and phenolics were metabolised by microbial/plant enzyme activities.
- Metabolisation products were analysed by HPLC-DAD-MSn and GC-MS.
- Bufadienolide contents were monitored throughout a period of 12 months.
- Stability of individual components differed depending on their base structures.
