Abstract
- A new chiral CE method was developed to analyze zopiclone and its main metabolites.
- DLLME showed to be a useful technique to extract the analytes from culture medium.
- The developed method is the fastest one for the chiral analysis of these analytes.
- The Cunninghamella fungi metabolized the drug zopiclone, enantioselectively.
- The fungus C. elegans preferentially afforded the metabolite (S)-N-desmethylzopiclone.
