Abstract

- A simple, selective and sensitive UPLC-MS/MS method was developed and validated.
- The method provides a LOQ of 10 ng mL−1 allowing the quantification of clindamycin in the vitreous humor.
- The drug administrated by intravitreal injections remained in the vitreous cavity for 2 weeks.
- The clindamycin-loaded PLGA implant released the drug up to 6 weeks.
- The implant showed to be biocompatible.
