Abstract
⺠PIP breast implants has been implanted in at least 300,000 women in the world ⺠PIP breast implants have shown high rate of rupture ⺠An explanted PIP implant show unbalanced viscoelastic properties ⺠Lack of high-cohesive properties in PIP due to a low degree of crosslinking ⺠Concerns from the potential spread of LMW silicones due to implant bleeding or rupture.
