Abstract
⺠Based on the literature, we identified the main circulating chlorogenic acids metabolites circulating in plasma after coffee consumption. ⺠We studied the capacity of the main circulating chlorogenic acids metabolites from coffee to penetrate the brain using a commercially available and validated in vitro model of blood brain barrier. ⺠The main chlorogenic acids metabolites from coffee are not likely to enter the brain in vivo.
