Abstract
⺠Phytohemagglutinins (PHAs, mainly PHA-P) are present in red kidney bean seeds. ⺠PHA-P induces prominent allergic symptoms in BALB/c mice. ⺠PHA-L and PHA-E are two IgE binding components of PHA-P. ⺠Both PHA-L and PHA-E may induce allergic manifestations. ⺠PHA-L and PHA-E induce GATA-3 and T-bet expressions.
