Abstract
⺠Prion protein conversion was characterized by structural proteomics methods. ⺠Limited proteolysis, surface modification, HDX, and crosslinking were used. ⺠Data from multiple approaches indicate rearrangement of the H1-β2/H2-H3 interface. ⺠The H1-β2-rigid loop is the region of conformational change during prion conversion.
