The illuminated manuscript Corale 43 and its attribution to Beato Angelico: Non-invasive analysis by FORS, XRF and hyperspectral imaging techniques

- A multidisciplinary study on the 15th century illuminated book Corale 43 partly attributed to Beato Angelico is presented.
- Spot-size and imaging Vis-NIR reflectance techniques combined with portable XRF provided new insights on the manuscript.
- A prototypal version of a new hyperspectral camera was used to acquire chemical imaging data on selected miniatures.
- The paper contributes to the identification of pigments used in 15th century illuminated manuscripts.
