Abstract
⺠A focused-microwave induced combustion (FMIC) is proposed for digestion of different types of milk powder. ⺠Whole, semi skimmed and skimmed milk powder used for adult and infant formulas were analyzed. ⺠Metals were determined by ICP OES without interferences. ⺠Using FMIC it was possible to digest up to 3 g of sample using diluted HNO3 solution (2 mol l-1) as absorbing solution. ⺠Due to the high sample mass used, analytes were determined by ICP OES achieving low limits of detection.
