Abstract
⺠We determined 15 elements in 5 commercial brands of dietary supplements. ⺠Toxic elements such as As, Cd, Hg and Pb were not detected. ⺠A potentially toxic element such as Antimony was detected in samples of multivitamins. ⺠In general, no alarming results were obtained in the formulations studied. ⺠Variations up to 100% were observed among tablets of the same bottle. ⺠Consumers are not receiving the same dose in each intake.
