Abstract
⺠INAA was used for the determination of 32 elements in Danube fish in Romania. ⺠Accumulation of trace elements was proved to be species- and element-dependent. ⺠Roach and silver crucian carp exhibit highest levels of trace elements. ⺠Sheatfish (Silurus glanis) flesh had the lowest concentrations of all metals. ⺠Bioaccumulation factors (BAF) in fish were assessed relative to the Danube water.
