Abstract
Male fertility preservation should be proposed before gonadotoxic treatment (chemotherapy, radiotherapy or surgery) in case of malignant or non-maligant disease or when fertility might be prematurely impaired. The techniques of fertility preservation should be adjusted according to the age of patient. Sperm cryopreservation has been performed since more than 40 years in France in pubertal males. More recently, testicular tissue freezing has been proposed for fertility preservation in prepubertal boys and more exceptionally in adolescents or young adults in case of sperm cryopreservation failure.
