Abstract
Neonatologists take care of low birth-weight infants particularly susceptible to infections that may be sometimes life threatening. The management of these infants requires diagnostic tools allowing rapid and reliable results and performed in the smallest blood volume. The results have to be rapidly transmitted with reference intervals categorized by gestational age and post-conceptionnal age. Delocalized biology enables both rapid answer and very small quantities of material but requires a formation of all potential users.
