Abstract
The forensic toxicologist is not the only participant on the inquest into the causes of the death; from the autopsy, this examination begins in the hands of the coroner who takes samples and reveals guidance elements for the colleague in the laboratory. Toxicological analyzes depend on samples, so, due to the contemporary context of requirement, to harmonize these samples and analyzes has been suitable for ensuring an equal treatment. In this article, we describe the sampling protocols and the present analytical requirements, from the table of autopsy to the laboratory bench tops. Finally, as need evolves in function of the emergence of new substances and the possibilities in function of technical innovations, we describe our present technical measures taken to anticipate future requests.
