Abstract
The treatment of bone and joint infections requires a multidisciplinary approach. For more complex cases, the management can only be achieved in Reference Centres (CRIOAc). Typically treatment involves surgery followed by antibiotics treatment either short or extended using mono or bitherapy. These variations in the treatment depend on the patient age, the type of infection and the presence or absence of material. In this review three examples of management of bone and joint infections are presented: osteomyelitis in child, early joint prosthesis infection and septic pseudarthrosis.
