Abstract
Laboratory diagnosis of Tinea infection is important before the initiation of an antifungal therapy, direct examination of hair samples confirms the diagnosis. Culture is an obligate complement to direct examination, to identification the causal agent and the source of infection. This identification is important to prevent and control the dermatophytes infection.
