Abstract
The improvement of the laboratory contribution to care patients is compulsory for all biologists within the framework of a quality approach. The post analytical process in bacteriology often stays the weakest link of the medical biology examination. However, it is quite easy to develop the information transmitted to the practitioners and in particular by a contextual interpretation of the results. After a reminder of statutory and normative requirements, this article will provide practical advice to optimize the post analytical process. This article will focus on the following themes : advice, notices and comments to interpret the results of the major bacteriological sample, reporting of the multiresistant bacteria and the diseases with mandatory declaration, storage of strains of clinical interest, clinic biological review, and tools of continual improvement. The information hereafter was implemented during the bacteriological accreditation of our laboratory.
