Abstract
The modular helium reactor (MHR) combines a highly heat-resistant fuel form, TRISO, with helium coolant and graphite moderator. The resulting reactor is inherently safe to loss-of-coolant accident and operates at high temperature, enabling efficient power generation and other applications.
