Abstract
The microbiological safety cabinet plays a key role in the prevention of infectious risk for the staff working in microbiology laboratories. Containment measures are essential to reduce the risks of transmission of pathogenic agents from clinical specimens. This article seeks to achieve the following two objectives : on one hand to give a synthesis of the manipulations which have to be made under MSC to comply with the statutory and normative requirements and on the other hand to offer methods for operational qualification/on-site verification.
