Abstract
Oncology research, and more particularly in breast pathology, knows a revolution with the advent of molecular signatures. These sometimes sophisticated tools come as a supplement to clinicopathological classic tools usually used routinely. The intrinsic signature brings via a new taxonomy of the mammary tumors, a new glance on tumors beyond the histopathological subtypes, SBR grade and classic parameters of the stage. Other signatures are prognostic such as Mammaprint®, Oncotype Dx® and MapQant Dx®. We still miss however in our arsenal, predictive signatures. However, the knowledge of the pathologist remains indispensable to an optimal management of the breast cancer patients.
