Abstract
In cases of therapy failure, the choice of another ARV combination will be guided by the results of genotypic tests, the patient's treatment history, and ARV plasmatic dosages. In these conditions, CCR5 tropism genotypic determination is useful if the prescription of CCR5 coreceptor antagonists is considered. Additional studies are required to evaluate the impact of the genetic diversity (non sub-type B HIV) on ARV resistance.
