Abstract
In France, a complete blood count (CBC) is performed according to recommendations at the beginning of the sixth month of pregnancy to detect any abnormality of haematopoietic lineages. A CBC may also be required at any stage of pregnancy in front of clinical syndrome suggesting anaemia, bleeding, thrombosis or infection. The topic “blood count and pregnancy” has been considered from the biologist's perspective with the clinical support of an obstetrician by analyzing respectively erythrocytes, platelets and leukocytes anomalies, which may appear on CBC of a pregnant woman.
