Abstract
Presently, there is no specific and reliable test to early identify women at higher risk of preeclampsia. Nevertheless, first and second trimester serum screening for Down's syndrome may help in detecting women with increased risk of pregnancy-related hypertension justifying specific monitoring of pregnancy.
