Abstract
In the first part, the parameters of the thyroid balance during normal pregnancy will be revisited: the harmonious development of the child will be the outcome of the adequate functionning of both the maternal and fetal thyroid glands in addition to placental regulation; the second part deals with thyroid disease in relation to fertility and becoming pregnant; the third part will address the relationship between pregnancy and dysthyroidism; the difficulty of diagnosis and management of fetal dysthyroidism will be highlighted; the post partum period with monitoring thyroid is treated in a fourth section and last part will be the topic on pregnancy and thyroid cancers.
