Abstract

This paper presents an extension of the problem table algorithm for multiple utilities consumption targeting. For a given set of utilities and their respective potential temperature ranges, the proposed procedure allows the determination of the consumption of each utility and the identification of thermodynamic limitations which constraint the considered temperature range. It can be employed as an alternative for the grand composite curve in pinch technology.
