Abstract
Some parasites can reach the nervous system. Because symptoms of neuroparastic infections are often non specific, diagnosis can be difficult. Immunodepression (transplantation, HIV infection) increases susceptibility to parasitic infection of the nervous system. This article reviewed the infections of the nervous system caused by protozoans and helminths divided in nematodes and plathelminthes (cestodes, trematodas).
