Abstract
The urinary cytology is a simple and not invasive test to detect primary and recurrent neoplasms of the urinary tract, in association with urinary cystoscopy and histology. In this review we discuss the technical modalities of this test, the cytological criteria according to the various types of urinary lesions, and the place of the urinary test with regard to the new techniques of non invasive urinary tumor screening test.
