Abstract
Autologous stem cell transplantation indications for haematologic malignancies in adults During the 80's, the autologous transplant was introduced in the treatment of haematologic malignancies. Since then, this method was improved. The technical evolutions (collection, cryopreservation and ex vivo graft treatment improvement, minimal residual disease detection) increased the number of indications for haematologic malignancies. Now, immunotherapy and reduced intensity conditioning allograft seem to replace autologous treatment in several indications. However, perspectives about new indications, graft products, conditioning regimens, supportive care, secondary effects and quality of life reveal promising research for the future.
