Abstract
Thioflavin T (ThT) could bind to the active monomeric collagen formed at neutral pH, so it was applied to characterize the nucleation phase of collagen self-assembly. The ThT fluorescence and linear-polymerization model was used to determine the nucleus size. This approach was beneficial to advance the understanding of the kinetic self-assembly of the fish-sourced collagen in vitro.144
