Abstract
The fluorescence emission of the rhodamine 6G could be quenched by Ag-dielectric-Au three-layered nanoshells distinctly. The quenching efficiency could be further improved by tuning the etching of inner Ag nanosphere. The maximum quenching efficiency happened when the separate layer just appeared between the inner Ag core and the outer Au shell.185
