Abstract
A cucurbit[8]uril-based turn-on supramolecular fluorescent probe between cucurbit[8]uril (Q[8]) and pyronine Y (PyY) (designated 2PyY@Q[8]) can be used for sensing benzimidazole fungicides with high sensitivity and selectivity. The proposed sensing mechanism was investigated by UV-vis, IF, 1H NMR and theory calculations. Furthermore, the capacity of 2PyY@Q[8] complex for imaging of benzimidazole fungicides in living cells was studied.129
