Abstract
Two Ru(II) complexes, [Ru(bpy)2(mhcip)]2+ and [Ru(phen)2(mhcip)]2+, have been synthesized and characterized. The “light switch” can be repeated off and on through the successive addition of Cu2+ ions and EDTA for two Ru(II) complexes in the absence or presence of CT-DNA.
