Abstract
A novel HPLC monolithic column was synthesized via in situ free-radical polymerization using trimethylol propane triacrylate (TMPTA) and ethylene dimethacrylate (EDMA) as monomer and cross linker, respectively. The influence factors on the preparation of the monoliths have been studied. Furthermore, the newly monolith was used to separate a series of small molecules, and showed good separation performance. Prepared monolithic columns exhibited an RP-chromatographic behavior and had good reproducibility and stability.
