Abstract
The fluorescence of N,Nâ²-bis(salicylidene)-o-phenylenediamine can be dramatically quenched by Cu2+ ions through the formation of a (1:1, metal-to-ligand) complex and a new sensitive and selective “On-Off” fluorescence method could be developed for determination of Cu2+.
