Abstract
⺠We report on three complementary methods for the quantification of Ag+ in a suspension of nanosilver. ⺠Ion-exchange technique was optimized to measure free Ag+. ⺠Single particle ICP-MS and ultrafiltration were used to quantify dissolved Ag. ⺠When diluted, silver nanoparticles will dissolve, implying that nAg will not persist in the environment.
