Abstract
⺠Attempts made in the development of amperometric uric acid biosensors over the past twenty years have been reviewed. ⺠The advantages and disadvantages associated with the electroactive species detected are discussed in detail. ⺠Different approaches and various matrices used for biosensor construction are highlighted.
