Abstract
► A novel mesoporous silica nanosphere matrix was proposed for immobilizing protein. ► Direct electrochemistry of GOD and biosensing on this matrix was studied. ► The constructed electrochemical glucose biosensor showed remarkable performances. ► This matrix provided a new and efficient approach for electrochemical biosensing.
