Abstract
⺠A new method - hydrogel optical waveguide spectroscopy (HOWS) - is reported. ⺠It provides an order of magnitude higher FOM than SPR. ⺠It is compatible with SPR biosensor instrumentation and improves its sensitivity. ⺠HOWS is applied for immunoassay-based detection of estradiol.
