Abstract
⺠We have optimized the performance of a lab-made CMA for the generation of metallic volatile species. ⺠8-hydroxyquinoline was used as a reaction media to improve volatilization. ⺠The performance of the system was compared with the use of a forced outlet gas-liquid separator. ⺠There was an improvement of the detection limits when generating the volatile species of Ag, Au and Sn. ⺠The interface between the spray chamber and the ICP torch was a key point in the analysis.
