Abstract
► SWCNTs/silica composite was prepared as sorbent via sol-gel technology. ► SWCNTs/silica composite was used as sorbent with NTD for the first time reported. ► NTD with sorbent displayed good performance for sampling/analysis of HVOCs in air. ► Syringe pump assisted injection system demonstrated better peak response. ► NTD is a good occupational/environmental assessment technique of HVOCs in air.
