Abstract
⺠First work, describing a DNA array for duplex detection of food-borne pathogens on a DVD using compact disk technology. ⺠The compact disk laboratory equipment is capable of detecting microorganisms contaminants at low cfu/mL of milk samples. ⺠The methodology is portable, cheap and rapid and accomplishes tens of samples simultaneously within a disc. ⺠Results were in good agreement with those obtained by the reference quantitative real-time PCR method. ⺠Detection of DNA from pathogens with potential applications in clinic, food safety and quality assurance.
