Abstract
⺠Novel and straightforward synthesis of a selenocysteine-oligopeptide is presented. ⺠No need for solid phase synthesis. ⺠To validate sample preparation in selenium speciation targeting selenocysteine. ⺠Decomposition of selenocysteine by methanesulphonic acid digestion is demonstrated.
