Abstract
⺠3-methyl-2-butene-1-thiol was unequivocally identified for the first time in wine. ⺠This powerful odorant presented an odor threshold in wine of 0.5-1 ng Lâ1. ⺠An analytical method has been validated to obtain quantitative data at ng Lâ1 level. ⺠Concentrations around 1 ng Lâ1 have been found in some Prieto Picudo wines.
