Abstract
⺠An effective and simple solid phase extraction (SPE) method was presented for eliminating spectral interferences on Cd in analysis by ID-ICP-MS. the recovery of Cd and removal rates of interfering elements were approximately 100%. The only required reagents are NH4OH and 0.3 M HNO3 in addition to pure water for the SPE operation. ⺠Sample preparation could be carried out simply by adding 0.6 mL of NH4OH to each 10 mL of sample solution. ⺠The starting solution and ending solution of SPE operation were identical, i.e. 0.3 M HNO3, which indicate that the SPE could be repeatedly carried out when it is required. ⺠The method was validated by analyses of NMIJ CRMs.
