Abstract

âº The use of HF is mandatory for trace elements total digestion of organic amendments. âº Different organic amendment types need different acid mixtures for microwave digestion. âº HCl avoids CaF2 precipitation in microwave digestion of organic amendments with CaCO3. âº Microwave-assisted digestion of compost using HF generates CaAlF5 precipitates. âº XRD is useful to monitoring the mineralogical changes in microwave-assisted digestion.
