Abstract
⺠The main sources of uncertainty associated to tar quantification were evaluated. ⺠Global uncertainty was calculated. ⺠Extraction step generates the highest source of uncertainty. ⺠High expanded uncertainties were found due to the analyte segregation. ⺠To minimize tar uncertainty, other sampling methods must be studied.
