Abstract
⺠Zebrafish larvae as a model to test bioaccumulation. ⺠High bioaccumulation values of methylmercury and low bioaccumulation values of inorganic selenium. ⺠Rapid and simple determination methodologies to determine mercury and selenium in complex samples. ⺠Speciation studies (HPLC-ICPMS) does not show any substantial metabolic process of the analytes. ⺠Cost of the bioaccumulation test performed is at least 10 times lower than other alternative tests.
