Abstract
⺠We presented a novel concept for assessment of HPTLC peak purity and identity. ⺠We used the mathematically transformed HPTLC spectrodensitograms data in the wavelength domain. ⺠Relative absorption spectra, log A versus the wavelength plots and derivative spectra of the spectradensitograms were the basis of purity testing. ⺠Derivative spectra of the spectrodensitograms provided a characteristic fingerprints for each component.
